alright here are the settings:
DGN2200v3 (master) Name (SSID) netgear1 Region Europe Channel 6 Mode Up to 54 Mbps Wireless AP ON Broadcast Name ON Wireless isolation OFF Wi-Fi Protected Setup Configured IP Address 192.168.0.1 DHCP On DHCP pool: 192.168.0.3/254 IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 WEP key enabled Wireless Repeating Function enabled (Wireless Base Station and repeater's MAC address set) DG834Gv3 (repeater) Name (SSID) netgear2 Region Europe Channel 6 Mode 54 Mbps Wireless AP ON Broadcast Name ON Wireless isolation OFF IP Address 192.168.0.2 DHCP OFF IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 WEP key enabled (same as master's) Wireless Bridging and Repeating enabled (Repeater with Wireless Client Association and master's MAC address set) but... the whole repating thing doesn't work! when I connect to the dg384g (repeater) internet/lan doesn't work. where's the problem? thanks |

alright, I set the same SSID but still it doesn't work.
on the master's config under "Wireless Repeating - Repeater MAC Address 1" it's empty and the repeater's MAC is not showing up. what's wrong.. ? thanks |

there is not such thing as ports for repeating
make sure you are not too far from the main unit. 2nd unit must overlap the signal instead of place that signal is weak when pc was not getting enough signal from the DGN2200 prior to adding DG834

the second unit is quite close to the first unit (around 50% signal strengh)... but still the first unit doesn't seem to "see" the second unit, since on "Wireless Repeating" it's still empty...
the DHCP pool on the first unit is correct? 192.168.0.3/254, with master's ip 192.168.0.1 and repeater's ip 192.168.0.2 |
