Once again - WNR2000v3 and Xbox

I realize this is the nth post on this subject, but it seems that every one I read has a different solution, and I've already tried a bunch, so maybe I'm not asking/looking in the right way.

Just got Comcast triple play, and WNR2000v3. Set up Dell PC wirelessly in 2 seconds - all good. Have spent 3 days trying to get Xbox live set up, wirelessly or wired and no luck.

What additional information should I provide so that one of the experts here can give me some advice? Modem type? Settings? The xbox wireless adapter was not ever able to see the router - and it could see at least a dozen other networks - hence the attempt at wired connection. Have tried to manually assign static IP, but the router just seems to hang.

Certainly appreciate any and all thoughts. Thanks.

assume you have arris modem from comcast? Since rest of do work look here ..
