I'm not sure if this is by design or something is wrong:
My friend just got a new Netgear WNDR 3400 router. This is the second consumer Netgear rounter he bought this year because the Wifi on the first one was dropping out. Anyway, For some reason I can only access the WNDR 3400v2 control panel using a physical Ethernet cable. But not though a wireless connection on any of the computers. I'm not sure if this is a security feature. All the computers "are" able to access the network via Wifi just fine. But it seems you have to be hard wired in to access the settings page. 192.168.1.1. I've tried accessing the router settings page on three different computers via Wifi and none of them can make the connection. As I mentioned, all three computers are able to access the internet via Wifi just fine. Before I even set this router up, I checked for a firmware update but it had the latest firmware already.

Yes it should work. Download and re flash the firmware again. Power cycle and reconfigure back manually. Now try.
