Default WNR3500L & iOS devices

Everything is working well with my LAN supported by this WNR3500L, EXCEPT, my iOS devices (iPad 3, two iPhones all on iOS 5.1.1) will NOT automatically reconnect to the LAN. They must be manually connected every time. They connected automatically on the previous LAN setup. Is there a fix?

should be using WPA or WPA2 should be fine

never use default "netgear" as SSID.

Thanks for the advice! Although I'm curious as to why you think implementing Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) or Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) and changing the "NETGEAR" SSID would resolve the issue of iOS devices not automatically reconnecting. Comments?

Changing SSID from default is BASIC

If 100 people bought Netgear router and use SAME SSID, do you expect to connect properly or if their is NO other SSID used NETGEAR yet some buy new router and use SAME SSID name and expect to work propoery? NO

It is precaution to CHNAGE for your own good

Hey, thanks again. Changed the SSID and it appears that my iOS devices are now reconnecting automatically! This surprises me as I'm in a rural area with no possible routers within 100 yards.

Really appreciate the advice.
