Must be why I can find a lot of these 3400 routers in Goodwill stores. I just bought one for $7 and got it going right now. Saving my old Belkin in case this thing starts acting up. The light does not bother me as the router is across the room and it makes a good night light for getting up to go to the bathroom. Just another energy consumer. Reminds me of the old K Mart "blue light" special.

I had my WNDR 3400 dual band router now for 1.5 years and I was able to disable the blue dome light but after I did a reset, the router dome blue light stays on after pressing a few seconds. Any solutions to this form the Netgear community?

What version of the WNDR3400 do you have?
Are you sure you reset only and didn't upgrade the firmware? I have the WNDR3400v1 running Firmware Version V1.0.0.38_16.0.48 GUI Language Version V1.0.0.38_2.1.9.1 and I have no problem turning off the dome light. I don't see why you can't if you have the same firmware. |
