Default FVS318V1 firmware upgrade with a Mac?

Wireless router dies and I pulled my old FVS318V1 out to save the day but I need to establish port forwarding, something I seem unable to do with version 2.1 of the firmware.

Using my Mac Pro, I've downloaded 2.4 but the router will not accept it - I get the message "Upload Data Error....Please make sure your file is correct!!!"

Am I gonna have to boot my MacBook Air into Windows to accomplish this? And will I even get port forwarding if I am able to upgrade to 2.4?

Thanks,

jas

Sorry this is so late - I just saw this.
I had a similar problem - I revisited the Netgear site, and poked around until I found a Mac version of the firmware download (ending in .zip).
Hope this helps a bit - wish I could include a direct link, but...
