Question Universal WiFi internet adapter (wnce2001) help!

Hello, i need some help. i have just baught this adapter and tried many times now and i dont get any wireless internet. so i hope u can help me!

I do as it says, im disconeccting everything and plugs in my adapter to powers. it gets green and i put my included ethernet cabel, and it gets green too. open my browser and follows the instructions on the setup page. and i come to this site where i have to write "name" and "key" and then i get lost! what name and key? shall i make up one, or do i have to use one they have upstairs? i dont know if they have one, because i am renting at someplace, and they just have a internetcabel down here.

And then i try this other thng, instead of putting the included ethernet cable in the adapter, i put the internet cable from upstairs in. but then i cant open the browser! so i have no idea what i shall do. :

Hope u can help me!

Windows 7

Plugs USB power adapter and plug provided ethernet cable to the WNCE2001

Once the Power LED is solid green, unit is "GOOD"

Open the browser and should open URL http://www.mywifiext.come/welcome.htm

Choose language

Hit next and it will go through status bar and look for "available" wireless network with following

SSID name
Channel
Security type
Signal Strength

It also includes "manually input my wireless SSID" for use who hides broadcasting of SSID

Choose your SSID and hit next

Provide your pass phrase and hit next

It will go through the status bar for connecting to the wireless router. After 1~2min it should come up with "You have successfully connected to wireless SSID NAME "

HIt finish. It will also ask you to save to your browser's favorites list. Close the the browser and open browser again

If you are using Win 7 it will ask your "network location" you can close or specify the type and save it

???? if you do not have your own wireless ROUTER or existing wireless network then WNCE2001 will never find it wireless. this adapter and not router or gateway to provide internet access

you will need a wireless router and not wireless ADAPTER

depending on type of broadband you have but you can pick router like wndr3700, wnr2000, etc.

product that starts D is for DSL modem built-in wireless gateway
product that starts C is for Cable modem built-in wireless gateway

Most prefer just wireless router and install behind the broadband modem you have already but this just preference and makes not much difference is performance... two boxes or one boxes is all you need to know in basic manner.
