Default Wired WHS not accessible through WNDR3700

I have a Windows Home Server attached via a network cable to a new WNDR3700v2. All other computers connected to the WNDR3700 are wireless. I can ping the WHS from a command prompt and can access the folder stucture by IP address using Windows Explorer, but cannot access it through the Windows Home Server Console or by name through Windows Explorer (Win7 64 bit). Laptops can no longer connect to the WHS for backup, although have been successfully connecting prior to switching to the WNDR3700.
Firmware is V1.0.0.12
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks for wireless isolation in the router settings if wireless device has access issues with wired device

Thanks for the suggestion. Wireless isolation effectively destroys the rest of the network, since the other wireless devices cannot communicate with each other.

Have tested a laptop on a wired connection to the router, which has a wired connection to the server. The wired connection does not allow access either. Although I was able to ping the server at one point, I now get a request timed out for a ping through both a wired and wireless connection to the router.

The workaround to this, although not elegant, is an entry in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts. There must be a way to avoid this through a setting on the router, but for now, the inelegant workaround works.

If wired to wired had an issues then your issues using LMHOST may telling you that Netbios resolve was an issues with the router
