Default Genie functions not working

This router is supposed to be able to use all genie functions, however, i get login error messages trying to use ready share, parental controls, and router settings. when I click on a link for FAQ....It says this:

Question #1:
Why am I getting "Login failed" in Desktop NETGEAR Genie, even though I can log in to http://www.routerlogin.net?

Answer: Your NETGEAR router does not yet support all Desktop NETGEAR Genie features. You can use many features, such as Internet diagnostics and repair, network map, and wireless connection management. You cannot use Desktop NETGEAR Genie to manage the router's wireless settings, guest access, and traffic metering. NETGEAR is working toward updating the firmware for existing routers to support all Desktop NETGEAR Genie features.

Question #2:
I can log in to my router using Desktop NETGEAR Genie, but I cannot manage router settings.

As in question 1...this router should support desktop genie.

Any help?? Thank you

Just installed WNDR3700, went from an old Linksys 54G. Instillation went fast and all of the laptops, desktop and Tivo(s) are online and working.

Downloaded, Netgear Genie 2.2.24.16 and it is working, shows the Router settings, BUT, it shows the Internet, WiFi Connections to be disabled and when you run the Network Map, it just runs forever with no information. Suggestions welcomed.
