Dear Sirs,
We areexperiencing the following problems with the 3G router MBRN3000. Both with a Huawei E160 (supported) and E1800 3G modem (officially unsupported but it works) after some time (could be one hour or more) the connection is lost as for some reason the GPRS/UMTS line is disconnected (internet led from blue to red). At that point the 3G router is unable to reconnect. In the status window is reported "CONNECTING" but nothing happens. The admin interface works OK though. We tried with different mobile service providers. The only way to reconnect is either to force a REBOOT or switch off and on the router. This always works and the internet connection is again established. However we have to guarantee continous internet connection, we cannot have a manual intervention. Best regards Davide Santachiara DTM srl |

Same problem with Huawei E1820! It seems that the E1820 is no longer recognized.
The solution is to force reboot. Is there a way to schedule a reboot of the router (eg via telnet?) |

Hi,
Anyone know if this was sorted out? I have the same problem with my Huawei E1820 modem and MBRN3000. I have to reboot the router (either using the power-button on the router or via the web interface). And this happens quite frequently so it's really frustrating ![]() Removing the modem from the usb-port and putting it back doesn't work either. I have latest firmware V1.0.0.72_2.0.12WW. |

Hi,
I too have the same problem with E1550, although not in the list of compatible modems, I bought E303 LINK HIGH thinking it would work, but it is not. The firmware version is installed V1.0.0.72_2.0.12WW. This is very frustrating, I hope Netgear releases short new firmware with the solution for this problem and increases the compatibility with the new modem series HIGH LINK. Where can I find instructions for rebooting with telnet? Thank you. |

It's sad to say that as far as Netgear are concerned, there will never be another firmware for the MBRN3000.
I bought mine in April 2012 in order to increase security for my internet connection. When IPv6 is available I will also switch over to that for security reasons. The MBRN3000 packaging does not say "no IPv6 support" and it was still being sold on the World Launch day (in Jun 2012). In fact it's still on sale today. People may also know that the world ran out of IPv4 addresses in Feb 2011. Netgear stated in April 2011 that they are well on top of the IPv6 issue (Bob Burke). http://www.ispreview.co.uk/articles/...ter_Interview/ Everyone was assured that new routers launched since the end of 2009 had IPv6 support. NOTE that the MBRN3000 was launched in March 2010 !!!!!! So I say to Bob Burke, you don't speak the truth. I've raised the IPv6 issue with Netgear. Netgear, however, refuse to release a new firmware that would provide IPv6 support on the MBRN3000. They also directed me to a web page that lists Netgear routers which *do* have IPv6 support. Having sh**ted me once they expect me to trust Netgear a second time ? I ask what are my other options. They consider that it's not their problem and go round in circles answering different questions. I noticed another router in the same position: http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=75338 What does anyone think of this for support ? |
