I posted in wrong forum earlier, but I am posting again here.
So I bought this router yesterday to replace my old router which didn't have enough range. I was able to set it up, but the speeds are at 2mbs where I should be getting 7mbs. The old router was able to get about 6.5mbs so I have to conclude that the problem lies in the router itself. These speeds are consistent on both a wired and wireless connection. I have tried rebooting the modem and the router, resetting the router to factory settings, and manually updating the firmware. The firmware version that came with the unit was V1.0.0.16_1.0.34 which is the current version according to the Netgear website. It is weird because on the router configuration page it says 'A router firmware upgrade is available' but when I click on it, it says that it is up to date. So if anyone can help me with this problem, that would be really helpful, Thanks!
