I have a reserved list with all of the Device names correctly entered (because for some reason the router shows BLANK for alot) Why then, since the names are obviously available in the reserved list, do the names NOT show in the Attached Devices List? |

address reserve has nothing to do with actual device name. ARP request/reply get device from actual device.
you will not able to override by using address reservation on any of model and other router too.

If the ARP requests worked right, this wouldn't be an issue for me. But, it appears to be another bug in this fw as the GUI app shows the names just fine.
And, for them to create a simple xref by mac to the reserved list when displaying the Attached Devices list is an extremely simple method that could be included if they wanted to make this router more friendly. |
