I needed to check my router settings (to see if there was a firmware update) and since I lost my admin password (doh!) I had to reset the router. Before I reset, everything was working GREAT using the WPA+WPA2 settings -- my laptop, Roku, Smart TVs, iPhone, and iPad.
Once I got the router reset back to its WPA+WPA2 settings, and working just fine with the PC to which it is connected, I could no longer get the laptop to connect wirelessly using the same WPA2 it was set to previously. I've written to the laptop manufacturer (it's a Fujitsu Lifebook - a great tablet/laptop) to see what I could possibly be doing wrong but it is a straightforward process to go in to the Network and Sharing Center and manage the wireless networks, so I'm really perplexed. I didn't change anything in the router configuration (I had backed up those settings previously so I could make sure to use the same ones in the future.) Now, the only way I can use my laptop within my home wireless network is with the WEP setting and I do not like that one bit. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on both PC systems. Any suggestions on other things I could try to get things back to "normal"? Thanks! |

Be sure to delete the Wireless Profile in the Manage Wireless Profiles of Win 7 Network and Sharing. The see if you can see the network and connect to it.
