Default HDD has failed

Only use the stora as a networked drive to store a sports club's data on.

Set up with 2 identical 80GB (yes!) drives as a RAID array.

Recently got an email message from (I assume) it telling me that there was a problem with a drive.

Now one drive LED is constantly orange, and there is a loud click from it every so often.

I have copied all the data from the Stora to a USB HDD attached to one of the PCs (just in case...).

Is it ok to remove the "broken" HDD until such time as we get round to purchasing a couple of new HDDs, and will I need to change the configuration from RAID whilst there is only a single drive used?
