Default Extend Range of DG834PNUK

I am trying to extend the range of my Netgear DG834PNUK but it doesn't appear to support WDS. The router works well through the majority of my home but I have a total deadspot in one bedroom.

Do I need a specific wifi range extender or am I able to use another router?

A universal extender e.g. the WN2000RPT should work, depends on the size / shape of the area you want to cover, the extender needs to be placed in a relatively good position in relation to the base unit and also cover the area you want to reach.
