Hi all,
Have tried running a 1.5Tb Seagate as the readyshare drive on my DGND3300 with no success. I need to transfer files larger than 4Gb, so Fat32 is out. I'm also running several Mac's so I'd prefer to not use NTFS I have formatted the drive as exFAT to facilitate large file transfer. When I plug the drive in I can see in in the admin setup etc, but cannot connect to it. Few q's Does the router even support drives of that size? Do Netgear routers support exFAT formatted drives as readyshare devices? I believe the firmware on the router is 2.0.0.54. Has anyone had any success trying something similar? Please help!! |

Hi, was anyone able to provide you with any help?
I'm thinking about buying a 2TB hard drive to attach to the USB port to share movies on my LAN... but I see another post that someone had problems with a 1TB drive. I noticed the HCL of tested drives are mostly small... but attaching a Mb or Gb drive these days is pretty useless. I'm starting to really wonder if this router wont work with large external drives. Please let me know, Thanks kindly, |
