So, I've searched for quite awhile (at least 4 hours) online for a solution to this problem. My Netgear wnr3500lv1 router is connected to an external hard drive. I am trying to map the drive with Windows 7 64 bit, but I can't see it wirelessly. I can only see it if I'm directly connected (which kinda defeats the point of this being a wireless router, lol).
So I don't think it's a problem with the router/ hard drive interface. I am also able to access the drive via the http and ftp links in the router page, just not the network (\\readyshare\USB_Storage). Again, I've seen that a lot of people have faced this issue, but I have seen no solutions offered. I was hoping to try again and perhaps get a solution to this problem, since I haven't seen any recent posts about it. I think I remember it working a long time ago, but it just quit (and I can't see it at all). So it may fall into the category of a common problem that I have seen in my search, which is that the drive doesn't stay mapped. I'm using the stock firmware: V1.2.2.44_35.0.53NA Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
