Default Problem to connect on www.routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1

Hello folks recently I got problem with my router WNR854T, any attempt to connect to the router with http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.1.1) takes a long time trying to connect and then the connection times out. Same with www.routerlogin.net, and www.routerlogin.com. I have newest firmware version 1.4.22, windows XP Professional and I using Wn121t wireless. I tray to reset router and do settings again but it didn't help.
Anyone know how to fix this problem or why this is happining.

Have you been able to connect to the internet? I had the same problem, my modem was using the same IP as the router. I changed the router IP adress and all is fine.

Alexv when you set your router up at that point did you have to assign it a different IP adress? Factor Ip is 192.168.1.1 i believe and so are most modems. The router will reassign itself a new IP adress. It should of asked if you wanted to print that page showing you what all your settings were. IP adress, login password ect..

Also you can only get to the router login page with the computer that the router is wired to. Example if the router is connected to a desk top and you are trying to access it wirelessly from a laptop it will not let you.

Also you can reset the router again and see if it assigns itself a different IP adress.

Try this IP address first. 10.0.0.1 and see if it gets you to the router login

I am not aware of any router function that asks if the user wants to print a page of settings, where do you see this?

The router does not assign itself an IP address, the DHCP server allocates IP addresses, and so resetting the router will not necessarily result in a different IP address. The modem may act as a DHCP server on the WAN side, and the router is a DHCP server for the LAN side.

It does not matter if the computer configuring the router is wired or wireless, but only one computer can configure the router at a time, in switching from one to the other you need to remember to log out of the router configuration to allow the other computer to log in.

Where are you suggesting that the IP address 10.0.0.1 is entered?
