Default NetGear DG834G - Changing IP

Dear NetGear users,

I own a NetGear DG834G router. Recently, I got disabled from another website which I was using. I tried registering in that website again after I got banned, but I got an error saying I could not because my IP address was the same.

Now back in the days, I used to use my modem directly, my IP address would change right after a reboot. But not this time. Currently my IP address in a site shows as 58.x.xx.x. I'd like to change my IP address to something else. Something totally different so I can register in that site again. How do I do that?

moving to Super-G (108 Mbps) & 802.11g (54 Mbps) Routers

if you disconnect the PPPoE and re-connect does not change then that is ISP issue where they are not gong to release new IP so you are no luck there.

Public IP is controlled by ISP so you gonna have to live with it

pull the power from the router, and delete your cookies. If that doesn't work, your isp is giving you a static rather than dynamic ip, so nothing can be done about it

You may not get a 'totally' different address, it may still be on the same subnet, and the site that banned you may have used a subnet block. I won’t comment on you trying to circumvent the ban
