Default FVS338 External IP Access

Hi All!

Just brought a FVS338 and there seems to be an issue with logging in once enabled the remote management tool. I have the latest firmware.

Here is my set up:

Internet===DG834N(xxx.xxx.1.1)===FVS338(xxx.xxx.0. 1)===LAN(xxx.xxx.0.2/20)

I can see the FVS338 log on page from outside, and when I try to log in using my external ip I enter the user/pass details click the log on page and it returns to the log on page asking you to log on again, I don't see no message in the logs as to why it seems to loop the page?!

The only reason it may be because my External IP is different to the internal remote ip of the FVS338.

Is the a workaround are this a known bug ?

Thanks for any pointers/help!

use DMZ in the DG unit so that you can access FVS if you looking more than doing double NAT issue. or just remote management access the then use port forwading.

I would used regular DSL modem>FVS>draft wireless router as access point

I did do port forwarding and and were able to access the management panel from outside but that it wouldn't allow me to login. It kept saying "Please Login" and nothing was showing up in the logs about a failed login or other reason.

That's the way I went in the end.

Thanks.

well.. you finally did the right way so not to talk other question you have but..

if you use 8080 as port which uses both on unit may cause some issue.

one should be 8080 and other is 8090 example.
