Hi, hope yo can help. I can't access 192.168.0.1 to change my password as I have just been given this Netgear DG834G router. I have tried on IE7 and Opera but when it accepts the password and admin info it just hangs there. In opera I have gone to - site edit preferences and still no joy. Any ideas that could resolve this dilemma.

Do you have some type of firewall software running on your computer you're trying to access it from? Sometimes the firewalls block the java scripting, to include some antivirus software also...
If you, try disabling it for a moment and try to access the webgui again... Jay |

Try a hard reset using the reset button on the back - this should reset the password to default as given in the manual.

It could be an ex Sky router if in the UK, in which case the password would be Sky.
