EVA8000 Mind of its own!!

Bought unit the other day, started working quite quickly even managed to get YouTube to work first time!
Unfortunately, it all went down hill from there, unit locked up and took many attempts to get it to go through its power up sequence again. Used hard wire connect to set up shares and unit worked superbly for 4 hours both pics, video and music. Put into standby, overnight switched itself back on and locked up again. Same again today having played faultlessly for 2 hours. Anyone got any ideas, I'm currently running the latest UK release of software.

If it weren't for the fact that this was a present from my family in the UK, I think I'd take a seldgehammer to mine. In all my days I've never, ever, used anything that's given me so many headaches. This must be the LADA of Home Entertainment technology.

Sounds like the unit fails when it overheats. Might be defective / over sensitive. Try keeping it in a better ventilated environment.

Also make sure you update the firmware. If it still locks up after being on for a while call NETGEAR or your dealer to exchange the unit.
