Default How can I connect to my wireless router without the USB cable?

I received my NetGear Rangemax Wireless Router WPN824 for Christmas and went through the setup using the CD, but whenever I unplug my USB cable from my computer, my computer does not pick up a wireless signal from my router.

We use a NetGear router at my office, at a coffee shop down the street, and I can sometimes pick up a signal from my neighbor's Linksys nextwork, so I know my laptop is capable of picking up a wireless signal

What can possibly be done? I've heard this is a pretty decent router.

I assume you have broadband connection with modem only have USB and PC was hooking up to your computer? modem don't offer ethernet ports?.

or.. you did not setup your wireless for router in the router setting..

There is a point at the end of the setup where I am supposed to disconnect the cable that attaches my PC to the router, and I am under the impression that at this point my computer should be able to pick up the wireless signal. However, my computer doesn't pick up a wireless signal, and all of the lights on the router indicating activity and a signal being transmitted out are lit.

I guess.. USB are something else.

anyway on this post you will still need to setup your wireless by login the router and setup wireless via ethernet cable first. then you can check your wireless connectivity
