Default Unable to Obtain IP Address

I have a NetGear WG311 v3 Wireless PCI Adapter. My computer worked for about 2 months but frequently droped the connection to the internet. I tried to fix the problem by updating the software - nothing worked. Now the problem I have is that the computer recognizes my Wireless Modem a Westell 327W and the Netgear software says I am connected, a signal strength about 80%, but I am unable to connect. When running the repair program the computer searches for the IP address - states unable to find. I have other wireless computers with no problem obtaining the IP address. I do not see where the IP address can be placed in the program manually. Upon starting the computer the ICON on the bottom of the screen indicates a search is taking place for about 45 seconds then a message appears that the connection failed. When clicking on the program - one can see that the connection is made to the modem, and signal strength, but no connection to the network or to the internet.

WRONG AREA
moving to Super-G (108 Mbps) & 802.11g (54 Mbps) Adapters

suggest to hard reset the westell. .. should be reset hole on unit ...some unit are behind the lable.

call your ISP if you are not sure and try if that helps.. sounds like westell issue if you can read other network
