Angry WPN824V2 firmware corrupted.

Hi,

Sorry i didn't update firmware wired. Came to know only after reading forums. I used to update the firmware wireless & so far its ok. Today since my connection was failing thought of upgrading it. Did an auto upgrade & in between connection froze.

I think firmware got corrupted. Wireless connections doesn't work anymore, same with wired too. I am able to ping the router, but not able to login for wired upgrade. I sniff the packets & found that i am getting TCP resets for http requests. I did hard reset procedures mentioned http://vpncasestudy.com/reset.html, but its of no use. Can anyone point me whats the best procedure to make it work. Probably reverting corrupt firmware or upgrading new firmware.

Thumbs up Re: WPN824V2 firmware corrupted.

Finally i got it work.

In case somebody wants to know the procedure, this is what i have done.

From the document WGR614v9_SM_26Oct07.pdf i came to know since the status lights blinking means firmware is corrupt & router is running in rescue mode.

Hence i upload the firmware via tftp client & reset the router. Now ALL is WELL. I am typing this using the same router & it helps others too if they struck with same problem.

Thanks for the support.
