Default Password WGR614v9

I have had this problem with this router. I cannot access it as i need the password. I have read forums and they say the default password and username is Admin(User) and password(pass). I have tried this and still nothing. I have even hit the reset button on the router and still cannot access it. Pls does anyone have this router to help me out

I would download the quick start sheet or user manual for the router from the link at the top of this page. On some routers the default password is 12345 or admin.

make sure the reset is done correctly

see "router reset" on my signature. step 1,3

if these don't work..

is your router provided by ISP? there are few that I seen has custom firmware that makes whole issue different. in that case you may want to consult your ISP..

I think it might just be a custom firmware as i got it with a virgin broadband deal. I will contact them. Thanks for the help.

Look on the bottom of the router, (I didn't, took me ages to find the info on the net lol)

Address: 192.168.1.1

User: virgin
Password: password


Disabling wireless:

If anyone wants to disable the wireless side like I did uncheck the 'Enable wireless router radio' box.

I take you ISP is Virgin?

apparently some router other ISP Sky also uses different user/pass.

Thanks for that! Since the name of the wireless network is Virgin blablabla, I figured this must be the right details - and they are =]
