Default ipod touch "unable to join the network"

I'm newbie so please be gentle. Have wireless network with 2 pcs connecting and using internet. Router WGT624V3. Ipod touch locates network. It's locked. Info says DHCP but no other info (IP address, subnet mask...) displays. When try to connect, I enter password (which I know is correct) and after few seconds get "unable to join the network <networkname>". How to fix?

Have tried settings - reset network settings.

Assuming with saying you have a password, you mean you have some security enabled. Have you tried disabling the security on your network?
Do you have the extended range option enabled? You should try disabling the option, and see what happens. I can only assume that the ipod touch doesn't recognize, or isn't compatible with the extended range features.

Thanks stephen, jmizoguchi is normally the one who moves threads. lol.. he seems to not be paying attention today, so I moved it. I normally don't even look at where it's posted, just as long as I help someone out.
