Default Wireless Router password protect

Hello

I recently got a new computer. I do have a wireless router but it is for my TiVo only. On my old computer I had it secured/blocked with a password so no one can access my wireless connection.

On my new computer - how do I put a password on? I just plugged everything in and it worked - but I know it is not secured/blocked anymore.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

More info...

ok, I found my Netgear CD and popped that into the computer. I turned on the Control Access part where you have to manually enter info to give a wireless computer access.

This will block laptops with wireless access, correct?
