Default Vista x64 Support

I have read somewhere that SSL 312 will not support VPN with 64 bit Windows versions, but I can't belive this to be right. Is it realy so that Netgear will not support next generation OS? Many of my customers now start to use Vista x64 on more and more new computers, and at present time can't use the VPN solution they have bought. I hope the information I have is VERY wrong? And if not, can someone please suggest an alternative to SSL 312.

alternative is standard VPN tunnel router to router.

there is less on 64bit hardware support to by other manufacture so who knows. I would continue to tell netgear by open the case.

I wouldn't say that the number of 64 bit windows users is growing that fast.

It took me like 4 hours to find drivers for my laptop when I switched to Vista 64bit. And I have a XPS m1730 and an Inspiron 1720.

I agree. hardware support in general is poor on 64bit, it's not just Netgear, it's effected on other manufacture

I sure like Windows 7 it is super snappy. Now I can get the speed of XP with all of the new features I like about Vista (which are a few).

What I do (for the time being) is run a Windows XP virtual machine on my Vista X64 box and use that for VPN tunneling. The word is that Netgear is working on a 64 bit version of their client, so hopefully I won't have to do this much longer. But, it works for now.

SafeNet has a 64-bit version of their 11.x software.

http://www.safenet-inc.com/softremote/index.asp

Until it goes mainstream, and only Microsoft can force it, there will be limited support for x64.

Windows 7 will have a 32bit version so don't hold your breath.

This has been discussed in several other threads. You can look there if you wan't more info.
