Default CA Certificate Instructions for FVS336G, FVX538

I'm proud to announce that I have now documentation for CA Certificate setups. Documents donated to VPN CaseStudy by forum user jchri9. He has spend his time to get step by step instructions on successfully setup on your CA Certificate.

Introduction
This guide will present the basic information required to configure a working CA Certificate and a Netgear ProSafe VPN Firewall FVS336G. This guide will then provide a methodology to test and troubleshoot using the VPN log messages..

NOTE:. there is mistype in above "introduction" section on actual PDF file that will say "ProSafe VPN Firewall FVX538". CA was tested with FVS336G

In this case study, we are using “RapidSSL” for certificate.

You mention the FVX538, but I'm curious does the FVS336G work the same way?

I assume because of same manner I would say "yes".. I have FVX so I should try but this was setup with FVS336G by jchri9 look the doucments. Screenshot of interface of FVS336G so that is way FVS336G was on first on the title

I hadn't downloaded the PDF. Apparently its actually instructions for the FVS336G and NOT the FVX538... I've never seen an FVX538, but being a NetGear product I wouldn't make the assumption that they operate anywhere near the same way.

I can't comment on FVX538. I guess should test it but I would imagine both are very very similar so should work. I did made bad assumption on adding FVX538 so I should tested but I took rough guess.

Both the 336 and 538 firmware are written by the same company (TeamF1) and use the same base code. The setup will be exactly the same on both, if the firmware numbers are the same.

I am using godaddy for the cert. They are asking for the server type it will be used with. The options listed are: IIs, Apache, Plesk, CPanel, Tomcat. Anyone know if it makes any difference what server selection I make????
