Default I need to find my security key to access my router, HOW??

Ok, so I'm new here and completely confused! I tried to Phone the helpline but only got disconnected.

OK!!!!

I have a netgear ADSL2 + Modem router, 54MPBs DG834G v4

I could access it happily day day wirelessly. As i'd put in the security password that allows the link up and wireless connection. Today my mum has bought a wireless conncetor for her computer but can't go wirelsess without my security password to link the PC to the Netgear router.

Stupid me though I could find it on my wireless laptop and went hunting and found my computer's security key which allows the link up, so even more stupid me thought if i change it on my PC it will be something I can remember and type into my mum's computer, seeing as I've forgotted what i put in. So i changed it and hey presto now my laptop doesn't connect to the interenet wirelessly either, as i need the right network security key! BUT WHAT IS IT AND HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHAT IT IS SO I CAN CONNECT ALL THE LAPTOPS AND COMPUTERS TO MY ONE ROUTER WIRELESSLY, (sorry for the caps but this is what I'm aiming for!)

I'm not very technical at all, so simple language please! PLEASEEE!!!! HELP!

You can connect to the router with an ethernet cable, login to it and find it there.

wrong area

moving to Super-G (108 Mbps) & 802.11g (54 Mbps) Routers

read the manual... it will tell you how to login.. go to wireless setting and change it

such as ISP username, ISP password, IP addresses, security keys, and ports and services that were opened. It all needs to be re-entered.

I have no idea what you are asking. You post for security key to begin with.

you login the router (netgear) and change wireless settings. that is all you need to do

s'ok i did this ;

Try plugging it in via an ethernet cable, then type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your web browser, and see what happens, you should then be able to see what the security key is from the router's settings.

you'll find the encryption key in the wireless settings - you can copy and paste it, you can delete it you can enter a new one - whatever you choose.
