I am not computer savvy at all- we just recently got a wireless router from netgear, and my mother hooked it up to our desktop. Now I am trying to use my laptop which has a built-in wirless adapter, but everytime I try to connect to our network, it says "Validating identity" on my laptop network pg. I don't understand why it doesn't even ask me a password to type in- is there a setting I am supposed to change on the desktop to allow laptops to use this network we have, or am I suppose to have a wireless adapter card in addition to the automatic wireless adapter than is built-in to my laptop? Please help
