Default wireless router won't connect to internet

I recently bought a RangeMax Wireless-G with MIMO Router. I set it up and it worked very well for atleast a week. Today I noticed my computer was not connected to the internet, so I tried reseting the router as well as my modem. I tried reseting the router to factory settings and setting it up again. When I plugged the router into the modem and turned it on, the testing light stayed on and the internet light would not turn on. The setup told me that it could not connect to the internet. The problem is not the modem as I am connected to the internet now directly through it. The problem is also not the ethernet cable as I have tried multiple cables.

Any help or advice as to why the router will not connect to the internet would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

one question. is it possible to view the router interface if not connected to the internet.

I would just like to know before I hook everything up again and reboot my computer.

yes... should able to do that...

problem is with cable modem. you will NEED to turn the cable modem off for 15min before you can hook modem and router back together tool.

less patient, it will not work

I shut my modem off for 15 minutes. When I started up the router it did the same as before. It showed a connection with my computer, but not to the internet. It would not let me view the router interface, but I thought that this might be of some help.

problem is you are getting 169.x.x.x self assign IP
if you can get IP from the router ex 192.168.x.x you will never get to work
