IF the MP4 has HE AAC audio (or AAC with SBR), then the EVA cannot play it. Mediainfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download) will give you the codec information, if you like you can post the text output here (in a new thread) and I can look it over.

The sampling rate is unusual - 24 kHz. That may be the problem. I'm on the road, so it will take about a week before I can test it.

Forgot to mention - this issue could actually be in your TV - it may be unable to play 24 kHz audio.

Thanks StephenB.. I checked the spec. for my TV and you are correct it does not accept this audio sample rate. I tried a new file with higher sample rate and it WORKED ! Result .. thanks again.

You can transcode audio only with mediacoder. It takes some 15 minutes, and you can only change the sampling rate if you wish. There is options for codec, bitrate, channels etc. too.

Cheers AltGr

Hi!
I have some troubles with HDMI- I`m using Acer DLP projector, which original resolution is 1280*720, @60 Hz, and it support 1080i/p with downscalling. Usually i watch EVA on standard TV using composite video and switch EVA to HDMI to watch movies. After pressing TV Mode (Next mode 720P) emage on TV disappear, and appears on projector only for a moment, then missing from both TV and projector. I must press many times TV MODE and sometimes must restart EVA for correctly switching to HDMI. Another home eqipment, such as Yamaha DVD-s 661 can automatically identify parameters of my projector and works fine. Looks like projector can`t synchronize with EVA.

did you ever get a reply from tech support about the HDMI issue? i think one way i manged to sort out the HDMI problem is to unplug and plug back in the HDMI cable while the eva is on.. but after a while it seems that it created yet another problem... the damn thing frooze... so i had to re-flash it to get it back to normal....

Hi again!
I try number of firmware and see common trouble- when EVA boots, it turns preferably to HDMI (if any device connected to it) and try to read its resolution capabilities. In 50% caces after boot at first time picture directed to HDMI correctly. But if i change input on projector or press "resync" on it, EVA switch to composite out and show "Setting TV mode 576i" message there. After 5 seconds picture dissapears from composite and appears on HDMI only for a moment. Projector show info:HDMI 1280*720,60Hz. Then picture re-appears on composite out, "Setting TV mode 576i" and this cycle repeats again and again..Can you imagine what my family said when we try to watch a movie at evening and I jumping with EVA remote a lot of time to switch it from CRT tv to big screen... If PnP on HDMI not works correctly maybe let USER always manually switch TV mode? Please think about before next FW release
