Default Re: RP614v4 Failures

Thanks. Lots of info here, I will need to go over it and see if I can get to the bottom. But it sounds like I may need bridge mode in my DSL modem.

One complicating factor (perhaps) is that the configuration of my system is:
DSL modem -> VOIP box -> RP614v4. This is how the VOIP people want things configured (no doubt so that they can decide who get the bandwidth). I presume it also means that the RP614 was getting its DCHP lease from the VOIP box not the DSL modem.

I would imagine this is not that unusual a configuration, but I did not see any mention of it in the links you provided. Does it change anything here???

TIA

I would put voip behind the rp and use port forwarding or DMZ for voip

Stickied.
I had the same problem, but after about 6 months of 24/7 use. I checked the unloaded power supply out put and it was 5V. I then check the power supply while it was powering the RP5614v4 and found that it was only 3.9V. I had another power supply that was rated for 2A out so I used that and now the unit is working again. I expect that the problems that people have been seeing is due to the power supply failing
