Is it possible to make registration any more complicated. It is a 5 year old overpriced $100 router not Air Force One. I mean really 3 steps to register ??? and you have to register or pay $130 for support ??? Or is that the whole point?

My point is if I am trying to resolve an issue I don't goto the manufacturers site or to a forum. From there I enter a search term such as FVS318v3 and DNS. I then view the threads. Not netgear.
1. Search on google brings you to teaser page.
2. Click on link tells you to register (nevermind the answer I want is right there hidden)
3. Goto Pre-Registration Screen wait for e-mail.
4. Click e-mail go back to site then register nickname (still cant access answer)
5. Register nickname (why cant id this to begin with?)
6. Go back to thread realize I have an enterprise product.
7. Register again (however my V3 starts with FB not FVS?? so program says product not recognized???)
8. Call support realize oh your just out of warranty we can help for $65 an hour or $130 for 3 years????
9. Now tell me what i am missing if I sound a little irritated?

Thanks I'll get my answers elsewhere or buy a different product. I am sure in this economy some manufacturers will work with my small business.

one part is below needs to be done

https://my.netgear-support.com/myNETGEAR/ENG/login.asp

then after you register the unit not only you sign up for forum but you also need to follow this

http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=5398

now email at product registration and forum on both reflect

Here is one place you need to verify
http://forum1.netgear.com/netgearcustomer.php

If you are able to register at product registration but not gain access the enterprise area could be from some other mishap .

if above is done and not working

email me with following (NO PM)

user name
email
model
serial

**** if you are not able to register at product registration require to deal with support not here in forum
