Default My computer can't detect my router

I've got a Netgear wireless router DG834PN

There is one ethernet cable at the back of this router connecting to my xbox, and I am able to play online with the xbox.

I have another ethernet cable from the computer to the router... Although when I open up a web browser, it says " This page can not be connected "

So I've recently bought a Wireless USB, connected that, and it is now connecting. Although, I want to go back to using the ethernet cable to the computer, as the usb connection is slightly worse.

Any help?

Chances are bad Ethernet card if ipconfig is not getiting IP at all
Even Ethernet LED is lid, that still not sati f it should wor
Also make sure it is enabled on Ethernet adapter
