I have a Rangemax DG834N Router. My wife's compnay Dell Latitude laptop will only connect to the internet when connected to the Router by a cable. It is configured to connect wirelessly and the wireless network icon on the laptop shows it is connected to my network and there is a v.strong signal.
It could be a firewall issue but I cant understand why it works with a cable but not on wireless. Is there something in the router I need to trun on to make the wireless work. I have already made it a trusted latptop under setting up wireless station access so the router recognises the MAC address |

Check that the router isn’t set to use wireless MAC filtering.

If by that you mean access control that is not turned on. Personnally I think the problem lies with how the laptop is configured but it works on using a ethernet cable but not on wireless
