I just upgraded to this WNDR3700 from TRENDnet TEW633GR two days ago and I have a feeling the Traffic meter is not accurate.
I have upgraded to the latest firmware V1.0.4.35NA immediately after I installed this router. I am on the Comcast Extreme 50/10 and as you all know about the 250GB cap. I am quite a heavy user. The router is connected to 3 PCs, 1 Asus O!Player, 4 Network CAM, 1 NDAS , 1 HP Deskjet 6940 network printer, 1 wireless Asus netbook with 2 Gigabit Switches. These are all wired connection except the Netbook. So far connection have been great! I have turned on the traffic meter since 2 days ago. Monthly limit set to 255999 Mbytes which is equal to 250GB. ![]() ![]() Since then I have uploaded several GB of data and downloaded about 2-3 bluray movies . I am sure it's more than 20GB and yet the meter only read 2,662 Mbytes. Are there still bugs on the meter? Well, one of the main reason I brought this router is because of the Traffic Monitoring. If this is the case of inaccurate monitoring, do you guy in Netgear know about the issue and fixing it. I have 30 days to return it anyway. |

The meter is a mess. I have an open ticket with support and have heard nothing back. This is the second ticket I've opened with them on this. They have yet to acknowledge the issue. Irritating, since this was the main driver for me to buy this router.

So I guess this is the known bugs and jmizoguchi knew about it, that why he's not saying anything....
The USB storage sucks as well...tested slower than my Internet Connection....around 2 MB/s max. My download speed is 8 MB/s with powerboost and constantly at 7 MB/s. well ....let see how's it's go....no point keeping it ...the TrendNET TEW 633GR work as good for me. And maybe Comcast traffic meter is coming out soon. |

There’s no need to be suspicious, June doesn’t work for Netgear. He’s a moderator like me, none of us work for Netgear, and we aren’t necessarily any more ‘in the know’ about Netgear products than any other forum user.

Hi hata28,
Traffic meter is currently supported on DSL (PPTP or PPPoE) connection only at this time. It works best you contact support, logged the issue and asks if there is a beta fw for WNDR3700 that supports Cable connections. |

1.04.35 is supposed to support them, but it's pretty broken.

I called Tech Support . After spoken to Level 2 for about 1 hour and sending her the print screens of the Traffic Meter. She sent me a beta firmware. Just flashed it and seem that the meter is counting properly now.
![]() ![]() So anyone need this upgrade have to call tech support for it. |

Thanks Hata. I've been on the phone (mostly on hold) with support for about an hour. Just gave them the information on the version they gave you. Still on hold waiting to get a link to download.
