I've put on the eva hard drive two iso (dvd 5 structure with no protection ac3 dolby stereo 2.0) and 2 avi file and i've got no sound playing.
I change the hdmi cable and connect the eva to tv with analog audio & video cable and nothing's changed. I've updated the firmware directly to the 2.3.16 and in the audio setup everyting except dts is on stereo But i've sound when i'm listenning to mp3 with a hdmi cable. Am i missing something ? Anyone got an idea ? Thanks |

Sounds like it is time for mediainfo as StephenB suggested.

If you have dolby digital set to stereo, then you should be getting sound on the hdmi connection (assuming of course that your TV supports audio on that connection).
Sometimes I've had to remux (or transcode) mp3 audio in AVIs, but in your case I would get the AC3 audio working first. |

On my Lg Tv i have three hdmi connection that are well working with a ps3, a freebox tv and a Samsung dvd1080p7. I tried everything but now i'm really thinking that i've problem with the hdmi connection on the eva Do you think i can restore the factory preset and try again ? Which firmware will it be with the factory preset ? Thanks Kris |

Going back to factory defaults shouldn't change your firmware version - it is a reasonable thing to try. You will need to go through the configuration wizard again after you do it.
One of the first screens in the wizard plays some audio, so if you hook up the HDMI before you do the reset, you should be check the audio on that screen. |
