I hope someone can help me 'cause I'm tearing my hair out on this.
I have a NAS (hard drive enclosure with LAN) connected to my WGR614v9. I can see it as an attached device in the Netgear menu, see... When I search My Network Places I can see it there OK too. However, when I click on it, which should open the access window for username and password I see this... If I right click on NAS and choose properties I get this... I don't understand why I can't access this device. DHCP is on. any help would be greatly appreciated |

No, it's a new addition. Should be really easy to set up as the NAS has a network user interface that I should be able to access via a logon name and password.
The instructions say click on the NAS icon in My Network and the logon should pop up. I took the NAS back to the retailer and he plugged it into his router and it showed up straightaway. I even logged on to his wireless and I could access it on my laptop. So why can't I access it through my WGR614 using the same laptop? I'm confused. |

That was the first thing I tried. No difference, still can't access.
Would the fact that, because of my Internet connection access, the router warned me: "To avoid a conflict with your Internet Service Provider, your router's IP address has been updated to 10.0.0.1 You must now update the IP address in your router's configuration settings for each relevant service, such as port forwarding and IP address reservation." |

Thanks fordem, but Windows firewall and AVG firewall are Disabled. So it's not that.
Sorry for being stupid but I've read through 'Router Setup' in your link and I can't see what there is to fix? Default Gateway IP is 10.0.0.1 IP address is 10.0.0.4 Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 In router config NAS appears on 10.0.0.3 Still I cannot see it from my PC, only reports as above 'The Network Path was not found' |
