Default Smart Wizard Disk doesn't work with Vista

I just got a WGR614v9 wireless router from Overstock and the Set-up Disk doesn't work with my Vista 32 bit OS at home. I get an error message as soon as I click on Set-up. I tried the disk in my work PC (XP) and it works. I know nothing about setting up a network and I really needed this disk. What now, I contacted Overstock to return it and they don't want it back. I don't want to mess with manually setting this up, it's confusing as it is.

Thanks for your help, but I tried that last night and it didn't work for me. Then I disconnected everything and I couldn't even get back on the internet for awhile. I think wireless is just too much of a hassle for me. I only needed it for a Squeezebox wi-fi radio and nothing else. My radio works now as I'm picking up signals from one of my neighbors' routers. I just didn't want to steal the signal.

that is good moral.. you should not and consider illegal

you need to post what is the wireless setting you setup on router.
if PC is connecting others, what is the wireless adapter on PC you are working with. Need actual model number to the wireless adapter

Hmmmm...maybe that's my problem. My desktop PC doesn't have a wireless adapter. I was told on another forum it didn't need one.

I was told to get a signal to the Logitech Squeezebox radio (it's a wi-fi radio) that I only needed a wireless router and that was all.

My only things I was wanting to connect was my desktop PC and the radio.

in order to use wirelessly to the wireless router, EACH device must have wifi built-in or wireless adapter for the PC to connect wirelessly.

Thanks for your help! I need to get an adapter, and I probably won't have any trouble then.
