I have reset my MR314, but when I try to access it from within IE7 I get an error" HTTP 400 Bad Request'.
The IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1 (I checke with an 'arp -a' run from inside a command prompt. I have deleted all the cookies and Internet files from within IE7. Also, the router cannot be accessed via wireless, though it can be seen. I CAN, however, access the Internet through the router from my PC that is not using wireless (but doing the 192.168.0.1 from the same computer gibes the 'HTTP 400' error. Any suggestions? |

I'm having the same problem - I run into it on one machine but not on the other. (Both are fully patched WinXP Pro SP2/IE 7 machines.)
Any thoughts? |

I am seeing the same problem with my RT314. I even reloaded the firmware and reset the configuration. I am running on an IBM T60P. The only thing Thant I can think of is that my ethernet card is a 1G card. I am going to try it on my old laptop which was only a 100Mb card.......
hope it helps..... |

Hi,
I have the same problem overhere in holland. I have a MR314 and i have 2 computers. One directly connected tot the router using a 10/100 MB cable. The other using wireless connection. Using the cable the computer does NOT give the admin page of the router and says error 400 bad request. Using my laptop it works fine. Both computers use IE7 and both have the latest Micrsoft patches all installed. All legal Windows XP pro. I think it has something to do with the way netgear builds the page in conjunction with the new browser??? I can access the admin page using my laptop, but what if this fails to..then my router is running as a black box. ![]() Please help. Paul |

Can you open the GUI with another Browser (e.g. Firefox)
In the IE7 you have "enable native handling of XMLHTTP" under tools, internet options, advanced, security. You must disable this. |
