DGND3300 - Can we turn the lights off on top!?

Hi Folks,

I used to have an old DG834 (can't remember which) that had the same form factor with the blue circle of lights on top, which thankfully you could turn off.... I've searched on the DGND3300 and it seems that you cannot on this model.

Can anyone confirm if they've found a way... or if it's something coming in a later firmware. I use mine in a Media Centre setup and don't want the northern Lights flashing away in the room when trying to watch a film!

some has

switch in the back of the unit
blue circle can be press to shut off the light

these are two options. other than that, take black tape

Thanks for the info - any indication as to which may have the switch/button?

Otherwise as you say... black tape!

??? on/off switch at back for router (rest of LAN / power )

or CIRCLE blue lights can be pressed to shut off the light.

Thanks, I thought you were suggesting either may work - having now read the manual from an alternate link it seems that from Page 8-1 Quick Tips in the manual, exactly as you say -

You can turn off the dome lights for the modem router.

Tap the dome to turn off the lights. These lights identify the activity of the eight internal antennas, flashing to show which combination of antennas is receiving the strongest signals.
