Hi Everyone
I am new to this and I am hoping that someone can provide some help here. I have a DSL service from AT&T and directly connect to PC. Everything works just fine and I can access the internet. When I bring in my netgeat router WGU624, I am unable to connect to internet. I followed the video for netgear router setup but I get a limited network connection icon in my taskbar. It use to work fine until I got new modem from AT&T and some stupid guy told me over the pohone to reset the router to factor default settings, which I did and since then I am unable to use the router. can you please provide some help and let me know which settings do i need ot change on the router Thanks in advance sarah |

WRONG AREA
MOVING TO Super-G (108 Mbps) & 802.11g (54 Mbps) Routers If you reset the router then do NOT try using with wireless. PC using ethernet cable to the router and CONFIGURE the router. ATT DSL modem/router unit must be in BRIDGE MODE- call ATT support on how to do that

The new 'modem' you got from AT&T is also a router. So you don't need the WGU624 for router function.
After the reset you have to configure the new AT&T modem-router so that you can go online. Get in touch with their support for advice and help if you don't know how to configure that. If you want to use the WGU624 for wireless function only, then you have to change the IP of the WGU624 so that it is in the same subnet as your AT&T modem-router (192.168.1.x). For that you need to connect your PC directly wired to the WGU624 after you resetted it to factory default. Enter the menu and set the IP to f.i. 192.168.1.100. After that you can connect the WGU624 with a ethernet cable to one of the ports of the AT&T modem-router. You won't use the WAN or internet port of the WGU624 anymore. Now you can access the WGU624 by entering its new IP 192.168.1.100 and set the wireless settings. |

Those are routed IP addresses, indicating that your modem is not in Bridged Mode. While Jack's solution will work and is often recommended, it may be better to put the modem into Bridged Mode and set up as normal to make full use of the Netgear router.
