Default WN111v2 weird install problem

Hi All,
When I install the driver software and connect the adapter to my computer, the installation completes and the netgear wizard starts. However, the wizard runs normally for 2 seconds, than it disappears from my screen. The netgear icon in the taskbar is flickering/flashing: appears/disappears/appears/disappears etc etc. Because the driver software isn´t running normally on my pc I cannot use it and not connect to my wireless connection.

Anyone recognizes this problem? Or knows what to do?

Thanks!

hello all,

the same problem with my WN111V2, with the latest driver V3 (Win 7: Utility version : 3.0.0.3, Driver version: 3.5.0.7).
During the installation the USBadapter is correctly found, but after they found any network, and the netgear software disappears from my screen. The netgear icon in the taskbar is flickering/flashing.

system : Windows seven 32 bits, platform AMD

no problem with my other computer on my lan.

have you a solution?

Hi to you All
I have the same problem and i think the driver is NOT win7 compatible
I tried to install WN 111 v2 driver on Virtual XP and guess what...it worked
in a second. Perfect high speed wireless connection.
I think it is not the right driver for 7 yet.
But when NETGEAR is going to release the right one?

regards

i did all the procedure as you advice but an error (error 1719) stopped the installation.
I found it is a windows XP installer error (but why in 7).
Very complicated situation for me.
Anyway the latest released driver is not support my machine(i can not speak for the rest) and i am a little disappointed

XP should not presents issues. XP/SP3 works fine for both V1, V2 that I have
