Default Problem configure my WNR1000 router

I have tried to install and configure my new N150 wireless router WNR1000 to a computer with vista. I used the cd and the first time I managed to install and get a wireless connection. But after a while, I don't know how long, maybe an hour I no longer have a connection and the internet lamp on the router is orange. Now I have the problem that everytime I try to reinstall the router again with the cd (I use a wire), I first have an internetconnection, but when I get to step 3 on the cd (testing internetconnection) I loose the connection and the lamp turns orange. I see the same problem everytime I log on to the router and try to do the changes there. The lamp gets orange. Is there something wrong on my router? Can someone help me, I'm not very good at theese things

Make sure that your computer can go online when connect straight to your modem.

Connect cable back. Modem to the WAN port of the router (the yellow port) and computer to the LAN port.

Use that same computer to do the following:
1. open a browser and go to routerlogin.com
2. log in using username: admin, password: password
3. click basic settings on the left
4. basi settings says "does your internet connection require a log in?", say NO.
5. set internet IP to get dynamically from ISP and DNS to automatic
6. set the Router MAC address to Use Computer's MAC address
7. Apply settings.
8. Internet Lamp should be green now, if not, power off the modem for 2 mins and turn it back on.

make sure you turn off the cable modem off for few minutes before you change the devices behind the cable modem
