"Sometime in the third quarter"? Why the rush? Why not sometime in the next decade?

Glad I found this thread.
New 3700 purchased 2-3 weeks ago, was running fine. I enabled the guest network over the weekend for a couple of my kids that were visiting. It seemed to work OK at first, but when I disabled it after they left I've lost all but occassional temporary wireless access immediately after I reboot the unit, and ethernet access is very flaky.
Looks like I'll be onto Netgear support tonight after work too...

much thanks to those that offer support info!

I used the info I found about resetting the 3700 and managed to get full access back. The 3700 kept my settings.
I'd disconnected my 1.5Tb USB drive (Samsung Story) before the reset.
After a little while checking the wireless and ethernet connections worked OK, I re-connected the Story USB drive, and then lost connections again.

So aftre resetting again, and following another thread, switched off the "media server", and now it all works OK. I have access to the readyshare drive through Netcast on my LG TV, and all PC systems seem to be talking.
.... I wonder how long for?

So just what purpose does the "Media Server" setting provide?

After reading this thread, I decided to just take it back....

I was the not-so-proud owner of this device for about 4 hours....

Glad I didn't waste days trying to figure this out. If a company takes this long to release a FW update...then the code monkeys are scratching their heads. Not good.

Good riddance!

There will be a firmware update soon (V1.0.4.66). I had the same problem, got the firmware update (link) mailed to me, and now the 'guest net' works as it should be! One problem, after the update the adapter WN111v2 won't connect my WDLive tv media player to my network anymore

Netgear won't push the 66 beta to the routers because they know it is defective and the shifting of issues will just piss off more customers. Based on Netgear's response so far, I would say 3rd quarter seems like a reasonable expectation, if there is such a thing.

You know, it might be a nice gesture if Netgear would actually acknowledge and respond to this issue, as opposed to leaving communication up to first tier tech support and pissed off owners. This forum is linked from the Netgear site after all.

Perhaps the moderators would consider making this post sticky, since it is possibly the most active discussion on the 3700 forum.

OK, since it's one of the most viewed.

No problem, not sure it's going to help, frustrating isn't it?
