I am trying to set up our new Netgear RangeMax wireless router and the FIRST step to doing so is to access http://routerlogin.net/ However, whenever I type this address in it redirects me to the Netgear homepage...I have tried everything I can think of! Please help, I am anxious to have my wireless up and running!

Aside from checking the ports connecting the router and the computer, please also check if you have a USB cable connecting the modem and the PC. In such case, typing in routerlogin.com would do a search over the internet instead of going to the UI of the router.

This is a problem I had. I could not seem to reset the router, either.
I followed the instructions in the mods signature - even printing the instructions so that I could read it while I did the reset - but the settings did not reset. I asked friends to do it, too. I also held down the reset button for 2 minutes on 3 occasions. I asked friends to do it, too. Now, I don't lose internet connection but I cannot access my basic settings. A blank page saying "The system cannot find the path specified." appears. I expect some hiccups sometimes, but I also expect decent support. There is something I can type into the run command on my start menu that will access settings. It is not 192..../basicsettings.htm or routerlogin.net/basicsettings.htm or 192..../hiddenpage.htm I can't find the page with the info anymore, though. Can someone help? |
