Default refurbished DOCSIS 2.0

I just got a refurbished netgear docsis 2.0 and it did not come with any manuals or a cd. I have no idea how to hook up a wireless connection. Can someone please walk me through this?

either one is ISP specific unit

some ISP will have specific user/pass so you need to consult your ISP.

ISP will help you the login process as default IP could be different default netgear uses.

below is default. if this does not help, CALL ISP
Quote:
Router. Login the router with following method
Home End User Router-

http://192.168.0.1 or
http://192.168.1.1

( http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com )

User: admin Pass: password
User: admin Pass: 1234

Those unit is ISP specific unit so if they provide you with either unit , ISP must support that.

If use/pas already gave you does not work them you must call ISP. There is nothing can't be done.

The isp provider did not provide me with the unit. I bought it refurbished online. I called my isp and provided them with the mac id, so that I could hook it up, but they cannot help me with the wireless issue.

I have an internet connection when I use the ethernet cable, but I don't know how to set up the wireless connection. My laptop is detecting the wireless connection, but I don't have a key to get access to it.

Again, this is ISP specific so if you from ISP or bought from eBay, etc,

username/pass is not same. If any of the default I already gave you did not work then I would consider return it or find out which ISP this was used in the past
